কথায় কথায় মিথ্যা বলা মুনাফেকী আমল। হাদীসে পাকে মিথ্যাকে মুনাফেকী আমল বলা হয়েছে। হাদীসে বলা হয়েছে- সত্য মানুষকে মুক্তি দেয় আর মিথ্যা মানুষকে ধ্বংস করে। হতে পারে মিথ্যার আশ্রয়ে সাময়িক লাভবান হয়, কিন্তু সূর্যের আলো যেমন গোপন থাকে না তেমনি শেষ পর্যন্ত মিথ্যাও গোপন থাকে না। একদিন না একদিন প্রকাশ পেয়েই যায়। তখন লোকের সম্মুখে পূর্বের তুলনায় আরো অধিক অপদস্থ হতে হয়। মানুষের কাছে তার কোন ইজ্জত-সম্মান থাকে না। সকলেই তাকে মিথ্যাবাদী মনে করে। আর আল্লাহপাক তো প্রথম থেকেই তার মিথ্যা সম্পর্কে অবহিত আছেন। সুতরাং এরূপ লোকের ইহকাল পরকাল উভয় কালই ধ্বংসমুখী।
